Classrooms
Our Learning & Enrichment Program provides the opportunity for children to grow and explore while learning the necessary social and cognitive skills needed for a successful future. We strive to create and maintain an environment that promotes self-discovery along with guided learning activities daily. We have two classrooms to serve our students. Our two & three-year-old classroom for the new learner and the older three thru five-year-olds classroom, preparing them for the next step. It is our goal to place them in a classroom of their peers as well as those who are developmentally moving forward at a similar pace.
Our weekly lesson plans include areas such as Language, Phonics, Math, Music and Movement, Literacy, Art, Physical education, and more. There is an opportunity to give small group instruction when necessary within both classrooms. We also offer sign language three times a week.
We enrich the learning process by doing projects with the Judy Center, monthly visits to the Walter’s Art Museum, participating in the Violets Program (Vocabulary Improvement and Oral Language Enrichment through Stories), as well as field trips throughout the academic year.

Accreditation
Joshua’s Place Early Learning & Enrichment Center believes in high quality education for our students. We want to ensure that students have a foundation that would propel them forward in life as they leave our center. One way we plan to accomplish this is by obtaining a national accreditation and possibly state accreditation. The accreditation process takes two (2) years to complete and we will be sure to update you with our progress.
While we are working on accreditation we will continue to provide Maryland Model for School Readiness (MMSR) classroom as we reach for continued high quality education.
